Jig Star Ninja Hooks are designed to be immensely strong using high carbon steel, while at the same time being eco-friendly. The nature and properties of high carbon steel is that although extremely strong, it does get influenced by corrosion. This means that when you have a break-off and the fish swims off with your hook in it's mouth, over a period of time the hook will corrode and hopefully fall out of the fish mouth. This should enhance the chance of its survival.
