Shimano's Grappler Series rods are constructed from blank using their proprietary Spiral-X and Hi-Power X construction which produce the most powerful rods, the lightest and most sensitive available. The Spiral in opposite directions, resulting in improved torsional rigidity without adding additional weight. This construction results an extremely responsive rod that allows for instant power transmission when casting and improve fishgting capacity. Shimano Grappler Type C - 77MH

Personal comment: Superb popping rod with a perfect length for casting from a boat, ideal for stickbait and poppers (30-80gr), nice "backbone" to control large fish and having good flexibility at the same time. I compared it with the Rapture Bluefine tuna 170, it is just a little bit stiffer, perfect for 20-50 lbs predator.
