Stickbaits are lures that mimic a fleeing fish near the surface. Flying fishes are a perfect example, they swim at top speed and on the surface. Stickbaits are normally made of hard plastic in the shape of a torpedo, usually floating. We can also find them of all sizes with rectilinear, zigzag or chaotic actions. We use stickbaits when we need to imitate a prey that swims very quickly on the surface and that we can be made by swiping the lure and retrieving the line. "Rooster, Dorado, Tuna, GT, Jacks" love this kind of lure because they are used to hunting in schools of baitfish at full speed. In comparison, the popper makes noise and splashes, but cannot swim at the speed of a stickbait.
