Ideally matched with a 20,000 size Fixed Spool/Spinning reel (V65,V80, Ryobi 5000a), the Tarpon Trek Spin makes long and accurate casts when sight fishing. Its action ensures minimum splashdown of the bait which is so important with wary species like tarpon, but has more than enough backbone to subdue the biggest ‘Silver King’.
The Trek Spin will cope equally as well with both braided and monofilament lines. The Fox SIC's guides, which you will find throughout this rod, are ceramic lined to give extra durability and eliminate grooving. We recommend monofilament and braided lines between 20 and 50lb breaking strain for this impressive tarpon taming rod.
